Dry Brushing

If you’re looking for an easy, at home, pick me up to exfoliate your skin, I have an interesting option for you. That option is dry brushing! I know it sounds weird and sort of painful, which was my initial reaction. However, the benefits are sworn by from some of the top doctors and estheticians. These benefits not only include exfoliation, increasing circulation, reducing cellulite, and even help with stress. Exfoliating helps remove dead skin, unclog pores, and improve skin’s appearance. It increases circulation helping eliminate toxins. When looking for a dry brush there are a few things you should look for. The bristles on the brush should be made from natural materials, stiff but not hard. You should find one with a long handle so it is easy to use. Avoid using a scrubbing motion and use more of a brush stroking. You want to be cautious not to irritate the skin. The usual time requirement is anywhere from two to twenty minutes. It’s important to remember that it isn’t meant for your face. Although I was skeptical about such an odd type of method, I recommend it for a quick boost of radiance and long term smoother skin!
